Rat tails & Redneck stuff

My Aunt Jens kids were over one day and Michelle and I decided to give Alex a hair cut..which he so desperately needed. While we were at it we gave him a rat tail... as a joke of course... to our surprise he loved it and it actually looked cute on him.. as weird as that sounds. haha. I guess our true redneck side is starting to come out. P.s My Aunt Jen hated that rat tail... and tried to save it off herself. I have never laughed so hard.. she shaved a nice square into the back of his head. (The square looked way better then the rat tail...right Jen?) I saw the regret in her eyes after she did it. Thankfully Michelle is a amazing at doing hair and fixed it for her.

Later, the kids wanted to roast marshmallows in the backyard..of course.. I'm a push over so we did. They are so dang cute though... I mean look at them! Their little personalities are so amazing and fun. Sometimes I think I like hanging out with them more then they like hanging out with me.

Logan & Maire

I cannot express how much peace I feel with the fact that they are going to get married.

I have never EVER liked any girl Logan has ever dated...(sorry girls..) So.. of course when logan told me how he felt about Marie.. I was skeptical... and of course being the over protective sister I am... I had every wall up I possibly could when I met her..during my trip to Idaho. Despite all the negative thoughts that filled my head about how she may be... she blew me out of the water. Moments after meeting her I felt like I had already known her, like I had always known her. She was so easy to love and right away I realized he couldn't have picked a better person for himself.  He is 100% himself when she is around and I never saw anyone allow him to do that. Im so excited to be gaining a sister like her.

Michelle and I flew to LA for the weekend. We stayed in Westlake and rented a car to drive down the next day to Malibu for Logan to propose. Neither of us got any sleep that night because we were so excited. Marie had no Idea we were in California. They spent the day at the Zuma beach. Just down the beach from where they were.. we set up for logan to propose. After they spent the day at the beach... Logan and Marie decided to meet her parents for dinner and a afternoon walk. Little did Marie know everyone was in on it and she was about to get engaged. I made a little video to capture our day and how it all worked out. Its really crappy but it was the best I could do considering my shakey hands... 😁. lol.
